Speaker bios:

Ben Barrett PIESP REnvP

Ben Barrett is an independent sustainability consultant working with global organisations, including the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), International Olympic Committee (IOC), and World Rugby, to advance climate action, nature-positive strategies, and responsible event delivery. His work focuses on implementing the Sports for Climate Action and Sports for Nature frameworks through governance, strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and impact measurement.

 

Before specialising in sustainability, Ben spent 18 years working in broadcast television and contributed to the wider industry through BAFTA’s Albert initiative to promote climate content and more sustainable production practices. He is currently completing the professional review process for Full Membership of ISEP and Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) registration.

 

Ellen Salter CEnv

Ellen Salter is Sustainability Director at Think Beyond, a sustainability and social impact consultancy working in and through sport and entertainment to drive societal progress. Ellen works with a number of global sports organisations, including the Premier League, Silverstone, the R&A, and World Athletics to accelerate inclusive and socially beneficial climate and environmental action.

 

Before joining Think Beyond, Ellen worked in sustainability across multiple disciplines including engineering, higher education and directly supporting businesses. She also co-developed the Environmental Sustainability for Wolves FC, in a sustainability advisory role with Football for Future. Ellen studied Geography at the University of Nottingham and is a Chartered Environmentalist and Full Member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals.
